One was Greece and Rumania were both German tech and would soon be flying fighter cover with jets which would wave at my escorts as they flew past them. I didn't see the point in taking such heavy losses to scratch the paint on their king tigers. Another concern was your group seemed to be pushing hard to get to Africa. With the discovery of Czech lci's we figured something was definitely up. We have been expecting landing in Libya/ Tunisia or morocco/Algeria for several turns now. So I thought it wise to bring them home where they could double as defenders as well as attrit the weaker techs of Iceland and Italy. Trans Jordan will probably fall at some point but that will hardly be because my bombers aren't there. The way he has chosen to defend himself and allow his armies to be bombed out can only have one result:defeat. Your queen Mary's better take a different route home! Sven Drake Posted January 31, 2015 Report Share Posted January 31, 2015 Rumania has conquered xIrbid, destroying my 1st Army. This was more of a bitter defeat than losing my 5th Army in xBusra. In xBusra, I endured ten--count 'em, 10!--Tac Air Strikes from Greece and Rumania, before the mighty 5th finally succumbed. In xIrbid, Rumania got lucky on the City Assault, wiping out an army that was at 85% strength. Even Sherman Fireflys can't do much against King Tigers. Â In spite of what others have said here, I am not letting myself get defeated. I may very well die in the few turns we have left, but not without a fight.
