Welllll, now. Is everyone set for their own plans or delusions of world domination? Things are certainly shaping up for everyone, slowly but surely. And what does Great Britain (uh, that's me) plan on doing? Take back my North American colonies? Well, I think we know that THAT is not going to happen any time soon. I can bet that Iraq and/or Saudi Arabia are hungrily looking at Kuwait (wouldn't it be weird if the whole Gulf War of '91 started because Saddam Hussein was playing Victory! and actually thought he could do it?) At this point, boys (or girls--we do have some ladies who play Victory), have at it. There's nothing I can do about it. Now. But remember what we say in SoCal: Payback's a mother...

Sorry, my friend, but my guess is that even a team of 98G50L's won't be able to save your position...threats of payback notwithstanding.

Well, I'm a former 05G myself. What need do I have of a bunch of linguists?

Black is for the night we fear,
Blue's the water we won't go near,
White's the flag that we raise high,
Yellow is the reason why!

Dear Sponge,

Do we really care?? Well I don't. As long as they are happy with themselves talking that interesting secret code b.s. and sending each other rhymes, it's fine for me. And let GB do what they do as the best: defending their island, that will keep them away from the mainland Europe and also that is fine for me too.
So I am fine at the moment doing me thing without codes, because Victory is mine!!!!

I care, I have great respect for the military people from around the world. My father was in WWII, Grandfather in WWI. I am eternally greatful for the sacrifices they made so that I never had to fight in a war. Off Topic of course but I think those of us who pretend at war should offer the respect deserved to those who dont pretend, especially at Christmas.

Hoo-aah, Nemesis! Well said. For those confused by my exchange with Slicer, a 98G in the US Army is a signal interceptor, language qualified; an 05G (what I was) was a Communications Security specialist. That job no longer exists. Thank you, SpongeBob, for your comments--well, THOSE comments at least. My family has served in the American military since the French & Indian Wars, in one form or another. Note that I said American, and not United States. And Rednas...who cares what you think? BTW, Nemisis, my neighbor is your ally in 78.

Dear All,

Okay if we on that tour...but first let me tell you this: I thought this forum is about a Game. This is a forum on the Rollingthunder GAMES, nothing more and nothing less, and if somebody wants to impress others by some difficult, for normal people, not understandable talk than please excuse me I am toooo dumm to understand that. I was in no service. Also I am not from the US of A, I am from Europe you know, there where for a part WWII was fought. And if we start to send each other some interesting stories I will tell mine:
back in 1945, the home town I was born, was still occupied by German forces, and heavily defended the allies thought. Than the city was bombed, two times. And during this second bombing, I have lost my Grandfather and an uncle. My uncle they did find but my Grandfather vanished, was never found again. Leaving behind his wife and 17 kids incl. my father. And the obscure and tragic of this is that my home town was bombed by the allies and to be precise by US bombers. So I hope this is clear language to you all. So be carefull next time to think that only US has had to bring sacrifices in any war and think about it who started the wars in the past...and think clearly.
I can only hope that at least by this somebody does care and don't forget Victory is just a game, keep the real life out of it, it has nothing to do with it, don't mix things up, but you all asked for it. What I did write is unfortunatley the truth. We here in Europe are also still suffering from WWII, directly or indirectly. So be carefull to think that the fact that the Allies did liberate us to think that they are the only ones that did suffer and had the casualties etc.

And now have a nice Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Don't forget its a game and I like to play it, for many years now. Don't spoil it by mixing reality with gaming and if I offended somebody, I do appologize.

Greetings Rednas.

Ich auch verstehe. Ich bin Deutsche-Amerikaner und Amerikaner soldat, aber mein familien kommt aus Berlin/Brandenburg/Hannover.

If you recognize the picture in my avatar, you will know my real last name!

As for the bombing, my family was in the US by then, but I am not a big fan of what the USAAF did to parts of Grossdeutschland...including Osterreich. I teach, among other things, the law of military operations, and I must tell you that laws of war today (Post WWII) would take dim view of much of the ways that damage was caused by all sides in that war...

That being said, the war in Victory! is an electronic one...so... I am going to have to offer nothing but blood, sweat and tears (all belonging to my adversaries, of course)

I will offer the toil. <_<
