I tried to load the SN Turn Entry program on my new computer and am getting a run time error '339' -- "RICHTX32.OCX or one of its dependencies not properly registered."

Since I didn't have an old version of the software on yet:

I loaded one of the old extract files first to create the c:/snrote/ directory.
Ran the setup bootstrap.
Copied in the new files.

The program starts fine, and I can enter my empire data. But if I hit enter orders or update data I get that error.

Did I miss something? :P

thanks,
will

I also recieved a richtx32.ocx error (said I may need a newer version). In my case that was the case and I downloaded a new one:

seems to work fine now....

Ok I have a simular problem on Windows XP

my error reads:

Run-time error '339'

Component 'TDBG6.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered a file is missing or invalid.

Now I was successful with loading the new Entry program with that other patch to get it to work on my other PC that has Windows 2000, but sadly that machine is being replaced by this new machine...here soon(like next week). Any ideas what to do???

No worries on the XP. I too just got myself a super duper fast PC running XP. The normal patch worked just fine to fix the problem I had.

 Well not willing to just sit on my hands, I scrapped it all and down loaded a new complete install and got my newer empire to woirk fine, BUT my older one comes up with:

Run-time error
Data type 3421 conversion error

Now I have noted that the two data files that the turn entry creates for these two empires has ALWAYS been diffent symbols...always....

Sounds like a Pete issue

Yeah, I had to uninstall the old program first. But I do that every time a new program comes out.

Oh Great and Mighty Pete!

May this lowly customer ask a great boon?

Could you add the Warp Point IDs of unsurveyed Warp Points to the MOVE Order pull down along with the surveyed Warp Points?

Example:

1224 (Alpha-to-Beta)
1335 (Alpha-to-Gamma)
1448 (Unsurveyed)

Thanks!

Pete's previous answer to this question is that warp point information is only associated with your empire after you have surveyed it so it never is in "your" data file. Therefore there is no way to ahave said warp points displayed in the move order.
