Just wondering how many folks have actually run into live bodies out there. We have all heard the exploits of a few, but many are still in the dark and lonely voids of space. Sound off in the poll.

One of my positions has made contact with another player and that player has established
a small colony in my home system. :alien2:

Another position made contact long ago and even
had a few skirmishes but that player seems to have gone silent.

I've bumped into two fellow old timers (I think both of them are still active anyway :alien2:

Things have been silent on the diplomatic front for a little while but no warships in sight)

Have made contact with one empire. Things are currently peaceful, although some "combat testing" is going on. Not sure how things will develop - hope to be doing some trading in the future.

Currently, I have not met any of my neighbours. This has been because of the number of difficult warp points and the number of Warp Nexus that have been discovered. About 50% of these systems are nexus and the warp points have been higher than a Class C. I have been concentrating my efforts with industrial colonies back in my home system and therefore have not ventured further than two systems away. My research is about halfway to Mk III Jump Survey Sensors and I am in the process of building science colonies in the outer systems to help survey the more difficult warp point.

I am not an "Elder" empire and so I did not start in the galactic core, but I did start playing Supernova six months after it started. Hopefully my peace-loving neighbours will be a little more patient and soon we will get together at Starbucks for a drink! :taz:
