Province Fortifications

I had a quick question I hoped someone could answer. Is there any maintenance cost for provincial fortifications after being built? I didn't see anything in the rules but that obviously doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

It's not in the rules they cost money. That leaves me with the conclusion they don't have any maintenance costs.
You can always calculate your costs to check it.

Nope nada zippo. Just throw an extra layer of mortar on them every few years or so.. :lol:

City fortifications also cost no maitainance.

just do not buy them...

the enemy will always attack somewhere else...

better use it for a city defence at your resource stockpiles...

but better yet.. just use it for extra factories or to rebuild some arm later on..
you will have a shortage of them later on in the game.... if you survive your first victim that is :P
