Help Please'
I have been away from the game for a year and am trying to enter my turn and get info from vicman. I'am using the same computer as before [windows xp] and getting strange messages. "C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose "Close' to terminate the application" this only happens with vicentry and vicman - rules and tech files seem not effected. Any Ideas???

What you can do is setup the program to run in compatibility mode...

Right mouse click on the .exe file and goto the compatibility tab.

Select the program to be compatible with Windows 95... this should do the trick normally... :(

I Have the same problem (XP Professional). I just use a bootdisk to start in DOS. Vicentry seems to function normally. Vicman however, will not work under DOS and win95 compatibility settings change has no effect on the problem.

The call for revenge has been given, tired by their provocations
With fiery eyes and full of rage he leaps upon the enemy.
He tears apart, destroys, crushes, covered with blood and mud,
Grinning victoriously on top of his trembling dead enemies.

Same problem here.

When I installed service-pack 2 from my esteemed friends at the microsoft corperation all programs that needed a dos environment stopped functioning...

What I did was get a copy of autoexec.nt, place it somewhere on my computer and everytime I needed to run a program that needed it I would copy it into the system32 directory under the windows directory.

It is a bit annoying, but it works well for me.

I'll send you a copy of the autoexec.nt.
