A thousand cases of Advanced Bloodwine to anyone who can tell me where to get some Energy Sapper Creature Knowledge. What is it, how do you get it. Do you have to start with it in your racial design during set up? If so, what gives it to you?

maybe the ability of Energy Drain??? i dont think so though as this would create a bit of an unbalance of having to get it in your intial racial design to get this knowledge. Its out there
somewhere. We just havent found it yet.

Yes many of us have ANZed the Energy weapons. The lowest one (poor) has energy creature as a pre req.... Have not found one of them critters yet...

So it may be an EXPL find then? Wouldn't that make it fairly rare?

Perhaps a random encounter in space.
Perhaps a random encounter on a world (instead of a neutral popgroup?)

The only problem is by the time you finish getting him drunk, you're energy is sapped.

How about it PETE !!! I realize that part of the charm of this game is that we are to a large extent kept like mushrooms, in the dark and fed ----.
A little info on this Creature knowledge would be a good thing.

Talk among traded emails is the Energy Sapper Beast (and some other random encounters) is just another unfinished portion of the game. Sort of like spying (just added in a limited fashion) and religon (lots of praying to temples .. but nothing seems to ever happen).

Ah yes the traded email story..same ones that were claiming that Nuclear Transwarp drives didn't exist. Baffled me since I have already found one in an EXPL but hey it's the "traded email line".

To date, I have not encountered an Energy Sapper Beast of any form. Despite finding many a ruined Imperial Zoo amongst EXPL missions and one Neutral Empire.
