New Spartans are extremely hard to kill. Of course I thought I was making a ground combat race of supermen.
But that's ok too.

I would classify my race primarily as explorers, but unfortunately you left that one out of the poll

I have another race that does not fit clearly into any of the above categories. My design was based upon trying to make them into the ultimate race of spies and infiltrators. (MOO II fans should think "Dorlock.")

Pete warned me that the espionage game would not be well developed for quite some time, but I decided to plan for the (very) long term, and go with my original race design, anyway.
Anyway, I chose the diplomacy category because many of the racial trates that make for good spies, also make for good diplomats.

That's right. Then throw in some chameleon ability, natural linguistic ability, and highly accute senses.

Then just sit back and take bets on how long it will take the local police to find Waldo.

I sincerely hope so. Otherwise, both I an all the members of my race are severely self-deluded.

So delete the whole post. I could easily refute every single one of your points, but you're right. This isn't a political board.

Guys,
Please keep this board non political unless it is galactic politics we're talking. It gets real ugly real fast otherwise and I would prefer to not have to skip your posts when I see your nics in fear of getting all riled up by (insert your political view here) clashing with (insert opponents political view here) so please if you want to discuss that keep it to IM or another board. This election is already the dirtiest on both sides I've ever seen so let's keep this a earth dirtfree board ok?

Well-balanced, no emphasis used to be called a "jack of all trades."
Hardly see that as a liability. Once you start asserting emphasis in one direction or another how can you still call yourself balanced?

Hi Guys,
I've edited some of the posts (and the original poll options) for political content - I think I've gotten everything of that nature, just let me know if I've missed something. I don't like to jump in a lot but nothing gets the blood boiling faster than a real-world political discussion, particularly during election years, and that really isn't the purpose of this board. Nothing personal to anyone here - we all have our opinions and our reasons for having them.
Please keep it game-related for all our sakes

One of the new options reminded me, after the wedding's over and life's settled down a bit my next SN race will be based off the Tick comics by Ben Edlund. nigh-invulnerable arachnids, but not terribly bright. Should be interesting.

You could also try a race of Man-Eating Cows, but it would be more fun I suppose to play the big blue guy himself...

Actually, the Tick was shot in the head once. In the issue where he took off for NY and left MEC in charge. As I remember, the bullet ricocheted off his cheesy grin.

You don't remember? It was a Saturday morning cartoon about 10 or 12 years ago. Sort of a tongue in cheek take down of comic book heros and villains. Also a great comic book character.

then again i could ask a kind if he like power rangers and he'll look at me and think i'm a dinosaur. my generation was ninja turtles all the way. and spiderman. spiderman was a great cartoon and the sliver surfer! yeah! *memories flood Ali's being*

First Chairface tried to write his name on the moon and parital succeded
Then NASA (I think) tried to correct this by demolition (Causing even more damage)
Then a Galacticus type character later took a "Bite" out of the moon!
It was great, if you weren't sure when a certain Tick Episode took place, you only had to wait to see what condition the moon was in the background!

Gads, I must be ancient for I remember the actual Tick comic-book ... before the cartoon ... before the live action (short-lived) TV show ...
Of course, I still like El Seed and his Bee-girls ...

I actually have the original 12-issue run of the b&w comic. All first printings except #7. Btw, I'm willing to buy a 1st print #7. I'll even kick in my second printing, if it'll reduce the price a bit.
