Poland - Scott Schwieger Achieved an individual victory with a final average score of 543 victory points! 2nd place went to the alliance of Persia/Iraq/Syria/Trans-Jordan/Turkey with an average score of 539 pts and third place went to the alliance of Norway/Finland/Baltic States with an average score of 534 pts. Game 87 looked to be a hard fought game with 20 positions active at the end of the game. The final outcome was unusual with victory going to a single nation, Poland, although that nation was also part of an alliance. Poland was part of an alliance with Baltic States/Finland/Norway but it also was TA'd to Hungary while the other members of that alliance were TA'd to Iceland. That difference, with Hungary having a higher individual score than Iceland, was enough to seperate them and give Poland an individual victory with the highest average score in the game. There was at least one other alliance with the same issue - differing TAs between alliance members resulting in different average scores at the end - so it looks like Game 87 was a complicated game on the political front. I am still working on the Hall of Victory! update so all stats are not yet available but here are the individual and average victory point totals for all the surviving nations: Algeria - Des Feeney - 499 individual, 451 average Austria - Nico van Ooijen - 483 individual, 480 average Baltic States - Mike Trout - 539 individual, 534 average Canada - Jared Strait - 589 individual, 503 average Finland - Peter Friesen - 538 individual, 534 average Greece - Ken Rozhon - 506 individual, 476 average Hungary - Paul Oldfield - 493 individual, 487 average Iceland - David Fromerth - 450 individual, 531 average Iraq - GJ van der Heijden - 597 individual, 539 average Italy - Erik van Buren - 446 individual, 480 average Norway - Jeff Ball - 598 individual, 534 average Persia - Lukas Schoonhoven - 559 individual, 539 average Poland - Scott Schwieger - 545 individual, 543 average Syria - Rengenier Mulder - 569 individual, 539 average Trans-Jordan - Falco - 562 individual, 539 average Tunisia - Tim Alcorn - 392 individual, 451 average Turkey - Jan Peter Dijkstra - 410 individual, 539 average UAE - David Feeney - 241 individual, 324 average United States - Larry Strait - 533 individual, 503 average Yugoslavia - Kerry Zane - 470 individual, 480 average When the Hall of Victory! is updated and ready to go I'll post a note here.
