Pete,

After GenCon last year you said you were going to add Repair Bays to the general tech as items that would speed up repairs of damaged ships. What happened with that project?

:)

Hopefully not General since there are so many battles now...

Building shipyards near a front means building colonies near a front. Colonies are vulnerable to agent insertion unless you have total control of the space surrounding the colony which is not the fact on frontlines. Thus shipyards for repair is not always a viable option for frontline fleets no?

You would also have to leave a good ground force defending your colony. For those Gremloids that could be a problem, but not for the Mantodeans...

Actually after generations of species engineering the Gremloids have become quite buff and can even survive on worlds like Asteroid Belts! Species Engineering, especially the higher levels are quite rewarding!

Well, now we want to know how to do this, as we've just had our first damaged fleet! Anybody ever see anything like this?

"Minor structural damage is caused to at least one ship as a result of powerful tidal stresses from Warp emergence inside a Gravity Well Zone."

Yuppers, Another one is part of the outer hull of your ships is slagged away from the intense heat of the heat zone but quick action by damage control teams and

movement to a cooler area of the zone prevent serious damage. Or something like that.

Then there the one about solar flares: Plasmatic arms of death reach out at random intervals

from this star. Its only a matter of time before one of your ships is vaporized.

So far our luck has held out.... its a very good thing for the colonists on that asteroid belt.
