Eldred
Correct me if I'm wrong (which is not unusual!) but doesn't what a mining installation produces rather depend on the yield available? So why does the INST for this (and a few others I have) say it produces 10? INST: Chemical Refinery Chemical Refinery: Extracts Industrial Chemicals. Consumes 1 Power. Production requirements: 500 Construction Materials Produces: 10 Industrial Chemicals Consumes: 1 Power
RTGPete
Ignore the 10 - an entry was needed in the database to keep every installation in line. Chemical Refineries, Iron Mines etc all produce on yield - no change.
athonian
whats the equation for the yield per mine?

The literal formula is: YIELD = [Number of 'Mines'] x {Planetary Value - [Number of 'Mines'/10]} Therefore, if you have a planetary Iron value of 400, and you build 100 Iron Mines, you'll get a YIELD of 100 x (400-(100/10)) or 39000 Iron. -SK

Sakarissa
Industrial Center = 250 IC (input capacity) Industrial Center with 2nd Generation Industrial Science = 275 IC (10% bonus) Industrial Center with 3rd Generation Industrial Science = 325 IC (30% bonus) Improved Industrial Center = 750 IC Imp Ind Center with 2nd Generation Industrial Science = 825 IC (10% bonus) Imp Ind Center with 3rd Generation Industrial Science = 975 IC (30% bonus) I'm still trying to uncover Advanced Industrial Centers and 4th Generation Industrial Science. Hope this helps. Kinda nice having 160,000,000 IC for my homeworld...... Sakarissa

Prospective
What pre-req's are needed to get to study industrial science. I didn't see that on my "researchable items" printout (tho I am just on the setup turn). Thanks.

Prospective
Cool, I had planned on setting those techs in my RC's... Though shouldn't it take me to 1st gen ind science rather than 2nd gen ind sci? While I'd prefer the leap to 2nd, I suspect there was a typo.
