If someone creates a post named: "Who is the Everlasting Spawn" I'm not going to log in with a pseudo handle and chide the guy. Its clear we have a different view as to what deception is. If it 'feels' like deception, it probably is. Ask Ken how he feels about the whole thing Note however, how I honored our border in Beulah space and did not go farther, even to this day. Very true. However, I'm still waiting on a fair trade of more relevant system names, rather than the ones you border Ken with :lol: Provided I can actually secure the space we encountered each other (we have company in that area) I am still willing to escort your fleets home...despite the state of war....as your fleet is an unarmed exploration vessel. Now THAT is funny. You are still waiting for fair trade of star names with a empire, you declared war on, even though they kept their agreement not to advance into your area. Would that make things less 'funny'? :lol: I could have done that TURNS ago...but whats the fun in that? Maybe Norm will wake up one day and follow through with his promises...if he does, I'll uphold my promise to escort him through now-hostile space......I suppose I'm just a sucker for giving people a second chance. I was told that the original Bashkar player had stopped playing the position. I was never told the other half of the story, the Norm had taken over. And of course, Norm never tried to contact me. I guess having someone lie for you about a position not being active, while you try to sneak up on someone, is not considered deception in Norm's book. I especially like Norm sending Eternus a list of stars seeking to trade information, claiming they are all his stars ... even though I had posted them in the Galactic Directory (Norm -- word to the wise -- learn to read first before you start claiming stars. Eternus simply looked on the Directory, saw my list, and knew you were pulling a fast one from that point on). Yep, lying to another player is not deception in Norm's book. And lets not get into how Norm has actively engaged in trying to trade player positions so as to get his empires sitting next to each other. Real nice sense of fair play there. I wonder why Norm feels he can't even take on one other player unless he has at least a two to one edge? Deception? It is when he makes it seem as if the two empires that are connected are played by differing players. What about the use of multiple ID's on the board? Why actually post everything under an ID that can tie back to you. It's more fun to create new anon ID's to spread mistruths, lies, and troll for information. Again, this is not deception in Norm's book. Norm has even managed to deceive his own supposed allies. Here Mad Martin (The Colony) and I were talking peacefully, trying to see if there was something we could trade. And along comes Norm's Acari, sending his 750,000 ton ship through a WP right into my 500,000 ton Crusier (which destroyed the 750K ship with only light damage). Well, it sure worked. Since MM can't guarentee Norm won't come stumbling along again as Normy does what he wants, I've shelved all ideas of trying to trade with him. I guess Normy's only concern is with himself. Talking to his supposed ally in MM and telling him where he was moving (or making sure he won't cause problems) is just not in Norm's nature. Nor is telling the truth. The fact that you claimed them is immaterial, as you have said, I scouted many of "your" stars. If the path home was thru your empire, so be it. "actively engaged in trying to trade player positions" A practice allowed by the game, if you don't like it, take it up with your Senator or the GM. The GM's do not allow "mules" to be run here. Of course once you started whining "not fair" about it we undid it hoping it would dampen the squealing, but it appears we were wrong.
