Phoenix the Empire
Seeing you were mentioning some of the battles in the past, I thought I'd mention this last one. My 2 ships vs your 3088. My 11 million tons vs your 24 millon tons. I lost 1 you guys lost all of yours. to join all the other space junk in the area. Leaving my nasty Leapard dreadnaught at 9 mill tons to control the skies. Are you willing to go together and license a junk dealer to salvage what he can? There's quite a bit of junk floating around in this system. You guys have fought well and my side has made more than a few tactical errors. ( Mostly me) Maybe now I can continue on building my empire's economy. Prospective
Phoenix, Not getting you bud. Who are you talking to and what are you talking about? What 2 ships vs 3088? It seems as though you had a recent battle with someone and you destroyed 3088 ships with 2 ships. Could you post the battle for all of us to see? Would be interesting I think. Always cool to see the underdog with 2 ships take out the Goliath with 3088 ships. Thanks.

You guys have fought well and my side has made more than a few tactical errors. ( Mostly me) Maybe now I can continue on building my empire's economy. Phoenix Well done, indeed, Phoenix. It was clear from this last battle that you have certainly learned from a number if your past mistakes. And you have earned your right to gloat. As to some of the specifics on this thread: I rather like all the "junk" in orbit. The resulting ring formations around my homeworld are very lovely at sunset. Do not make the mistake of thinking that this is over yet. As they say on my world, "The obese female breeder has yet to vocally harmonize!" (that's a rough translation) I still plan to eventually retire on Semjan 3. And for those who would like to marvel at all the details of the carnage, more details of the battle are listed below. Prospective
Wow. That was a tremendous battle. That DN is the shizznit, where do I get me some of those? What a technological terror you have there Phoenix. Look at the shields and Gravitics (128,000 thrust per engine), not to mention the siege tachyon blasters. I think IDE has some formidable opposition there. Regardless, unless IDE is talking smack, it looks like you're gonna have to add some more of these bad boys to your fleet. Maybe next time you should add troop berthing and take the planet after owning the sky? For your sake I hope that your troops are as impressive as the ships you own. WKE235
Wow. That was a tremendous battle. That DN is the shizznit, where do I get me some of those? Maybe next time you should add troop berthing and take the planet after owning the sky? For your sake I hope that your troops are as impressive as the ships you own. When you look through the results, some things pop out 1) The War Cruiser in Deploy Location 12 was the 786th ship destroyed. It just goes to show that with random chance in the battles, and with enough lobs of fire (8 base + 17 leaders = 25 per round for the I.D.E.) even ships in the rear can unexpectedly explode unless well protected. 2) The DN came close to losing! 106 + 13 = 119 globs of fire per round. Given the fire power, that probably means only 26 to 30 rounds of battle to take out the 3000+ defenders. And in that time, the DN lost close to 5,650,000,000 Shieding. With only another 600,000 in shields plus the 1,200,000,000 Integrity .. they did 75% damage to the ship. Sure with the shields this all reappears and POOF no damage and a major victory. But... Add a few more hundred ships to the mix and it might have been enough to keep damage higher in early rounds while prolonging the battle enough to badly damage or even defeat the DN. Or improve the tech slightly on the I.D.E side so more of the Mk III Standoff missles are Mk IV or Mk V, meaning more gets through the repulsor CIDS, and do more damage to boot. A very nice battle, and a closer one than many may think.

I agree with you WKE, I expected a very close battle, I thought that at least I'd thin the screens down quite abit. With the ship arriving this turn more than capable of handling any survivors. Phoenix
D.I.E.
I think IDE has some formidable opposition there. Regardless, unless IDE is talking smack, it looks like you're gonna have to add some more of these bad boys to your fleet. Personally, the very idea of "talking smack" seems very odd to me, indeed. Consider, for example... If you were to claim to that your enemy was week and ineffectual, "could not laser his way out of a paper bag," then: 1) Why even lower yourself to fight him? 2) When you defeat him battle, then what glory is there? 3) If you should lose a battle against him, then what immense shame does that bring upon you? But, if you magnify the prowess of your enemies, say by claiming they are, "the most formidable fighting machine the Universe has seen since the Tckon," then: 1) How brave you must appear by going up against him! 2) What immense glory there is in every minor victory against him! 3) There can surely be no shame in losing a battle to such an omnipotent opponent! 4) And how frightened your potential foes will be to confront you, after you have ground such a formidable enemy into dust! So, for the record, the Imperial Demonic Envelopment does not engage in "talking smack." We state the truth, without embellishment or false bravado. There is no need for either one. And so, before the results of the coming turn are known, let me just say… The Phoenix Empire, along with their PA allies, namely The Underdeep and Lumeria, represent a truly remarkable and potent military force. In fact, I believe them to represent the second most capable military alliance in existence! D.I.E.
I am certain that one of you will correct me if I am wrong here. But, I think I just accomplished a first in SNROTE history. I just re-captured my homeworld (and in fact, my entire home system) from an active enemy! I have watched Phoenix Empire learn many valuable lessons during their war with us. Now, they can add one more to the list: "NEVER turn your back on Imperial Demonic Envelopement!" We may, on occasion, be down. But we will NEVER be out! Actually I think giving nightmares to those who have captured another active player's HW is a good thing. Congrats to IDE for accomplishing a feat many of us did not think possible.
