Hegemony troops continue to advance. Due to a series of production disasters and coordination issues between hegemony allies it has taken time. Now finally initial troop ships from System Lord Apophis approach Roman space following a deep beacon recon in the previous month.

 

20 divisions from The Go'ald 9994th Imperial Army and Elite Guard drop land onto Ovitrigailo 5 expecting resistance from Roman Praetorian Guard. Instead Valkor 100th VEF defend an important trade colony.

 

Elite Go'ald troops push forward throughout the day facing tough opposition from troops ideally designed for combat. General Al'Rath De from Go'ald high command decides to not help the battle due to issues in fleet transportation (AC out of order) and unknown leaders push the advance.

 

Go'ald ground commanders wish they had Imperial Marines to handle the initial amphibious assault but the 9994th NBC unit makes a spectacular beach landing using the latest in inflatable anti-radiation gear to swim ashore. With this shame in their face the Imperial Army launches a devastating beach assault taking the beachhead with waves of troops.

 

Imperial Army Airforce streaks overhead pounding Valkor positions while surface to air missles steak from the small colony. The NBC unit with now promoted Major "Oh'my he spent more points on ground combat" continue to lead the assault wearing the ennemy down. Finally after a day of combat the battle is won. Roman worlds are conquered and an important valkor colony (11,000 installations) is added to the Hegemony alliance.
