Horus
Hi, Just wondering again. Something I am not sure on. Suppose the following Province A Province B Province C Province D Province E 2 Air bases with fighers on fighter cover. 1 in Province A (air division 1) , the other in Province B (air division 2). Both air division hold the maximum number of planes - 25 fighters each. Both are on fighter cover and both have an SMR of 4. There is an overlap on province E. Both cover this province. Now enemy incursion occurs in province E. What happens now? Which one is triggered? Both? Does this mean 50 fighter will be engaging the enemy planes? Suppose after the first incursion, another incursion on province E starts. Will this trigger the fighter cover again. in case the answer to the previous question was that first air division 1 will respond and then nr 2. I am aiming at the point where both have intercepted. What will happen next when again an incursion occurs. Also. In calculating SMR, is the home province (where the airbase is located) calculated in the cover? Thanks again! RTGRuss
A maximum of 50 air groups can respond as part of a Fighter Cover/Intercept mission. These groups may be in more than two forces as the limit isn't by force but by air group (i.e. you could have 5 forces of 10 units each, etc.). If more than 50 air groups are potentially available - groups will respond based on experience/ID#. Note that there is a limit of 10 SOAM (Standing Order Air Missions) at any one time however so it makes sense to concentrate your units for SOAM missions. Units on Fighter Cover/Intercept duty may be triggered multiple times between turns - the only limitation is available fuel/munitions. Fighter Cover intercepts involved two or more forces that are NOT at the same air base will have their chance to intercept based on the distance from the most distant air base to the target location. The ability of the force to respond at a given target location is based on the units of that force. Russ
Horus
Hi, One more question concerning Fighter covers. Situation: Province A - Air base of air force. Fighter cover command: FC - 10 - Province B, Province C, Province D Will this force cover force present in Province A? It is their base location? I want to know if you should include province A in your command line to grant protection to forces present there.

The order should be written OMA, FC, [Force ID#], Province A, Province B, Province C, Province D in order to cover the air base itself in Province A. Province A does not count against the range (considered a 0 SMR inclusion to the fighter cover) but it does need to be listed to cover the base as well.
