All but a handful were the highest level of gunboats and drones. I don't know if they were all actually destroyed in battle or if it was due to not having any carriers survive for them to return to.

I was going to leave the universe wondering which of us survived! But now I can say of the ​over 9200 ships/fortresses in the engagement 1 ship and 1 fortress survived intact and 2 other fortresses were pretty much one round away from total destruction. To be such a massive assembly of the tools of war, it was incredible how closely the two sides were matched. Kudos to a battle well fought

Side 1 consisted of 2 empires with 49 ships/fortresses weighing in at 721,611,680,356 tons and incudes 38 Million fighters/drones Side 2 consisted of 4 empires with 9169 ships weighing in at 739,267,394,450 tons and includes 52 Million Fighters/drones Outcome: ALL 90 million fighters/drones destroyed Of the nearly 1.5 Trillion tons of fleets............................189 Billion tons (12 %) survived

Well said. Having a competent adversary has kept it interesting and fun. I'm not prematurely counting a win, despite the "trash talk", I think if you have pulled in another ally over the past couple months and get your tonnage 30% or so higher than ours we'll be about evenly matched due to surface fortress integrity. If we come out victorious, I expect to have only one of my mobile ships survive - I think you probably know which one. Regardless of the outcome.....Bo, I sincerely wish you the best in your future endeavors as I retire to become a professional "beach bum"

No not going to join Draco. I've been playing for 13 years and it was a good distraction/stress relief from the real world of working 80 hours a week. After retiring last year, I don't really need the stress reduction, I can now walk out the back door and dip my toes in the ocean, go deep sea fishing, or enjoy finishing the restoration process of my 1954 Chevy Truck - can't ask for much better relaxation!

Well, two more turns have passed without a peep from Cestvel and Hobknob..... Did they finally come to the realization that they are outclassed and returned home? Or do they think they can just wait me out until I depart Andromeda in 4 more turns? Well the clock is running out, as much as it pains me I might just have to pull a Marcus and take everything back to my home system in another turn or two and turn it over to another player whom has been on the receiving end of their treachery - would have been nice to go out with an epic battle, but it appears their timidity will keep that from occurring

What a disappointment! Looks like Hobknob and Cestvel are just too timid to attack the HW. Four of the self proclaimed biggest empires against two smaller empires and they are afraid to attack??? I guess they have finally come to the realization that they are outclassed and that they would need a couple trillion tons to have a chance like I told them in the beginning. Wouldn't be surprised if Cestvel tucked tail and abandoned his ally, he definitely has a habit of running away from me. Oh well, I'll update everyone if they ever get the courage to engage

I wouldn't say its dead yet, for those out there that started their empires the last couple of years there is much still to explore and destroy; its just so many of the "old sweats" have completely dropped or moved over to Draco - there's not much left for us in Andromeda, everything we want to research has been done, etc....

We too were allies at one time many years ago, this upcoming battle has been brewing for a dozen years. I won't rehash the cause as that won't change the current climate as both sides feel justified in their reasons for dissolving the alliance.

That would be Hobknob......or at least his 6k+ screens, I can already hear them going "pop, pop, pop" like the corn exploding in a microwave!

We agree on a couple of things, if you keep your nerve and attack it won't be as one-sided as the last battle. The other point we agree upon is Andromeda is really starting to wind down, this will be the first real challenge for my empire to face in at least a decade - like you, the coming storm is the only thing that has kept me in the game, so win or lose, 2016 is the end for me... spending the retirement time at the beach and restoring a couple of old vehicles is much more appealing. With that said, I see Cestvel has added a token force to the effort (surprisingly one of his 97 ships is actually of decent design) and since we all know the ORI will not take up the invitation to join the fun (he's bunkered down in his "command center" i.e. mom's basement) - let's get this battle going! You now have a pretty decent tonnage advantage over me which will help off-set what I feel is my advantage of superior ship design. So in summary, let's bring what will be a record breaking battle to a conclusion.
