Hughestrog
Just out of curiousity, is the Hubble completely written off? Are there any intentions of saving it? Lord Uriel <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Last I heard they were going to keep Hubble going if the shuttle was a success. Of course the latest news puts that in doubt. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thought that there was a couple of years left in it yet, just that they weren't going to go with maintenance, so by 2008 it would just be floating there? However, since this mornings news that a piece of the fuel tank struck a wing on lift off that may be in doubt. We are now praying that they return safely. This article was pretty thought-provoking: NASA and Mars What will it take to put the "exploration" back into the space program? Perhaps when we see the Chinese progressing in a few years time it will help impel NASA to remake itself? (A new space race? Hopefully a friendly one though...) -LX
