Eldred Posted August 29, 2004 Report Share Posted August 29, 2004 Have just upgraded to a new PC and now when I read a message on the boards, the message is not marked as "read", instead I have to click on "mark all messages as read" to keep track on what I've looked at. woody Posted August 31, 2004 Report Share Posted August 31, 2004 Eldred, I think the "stupid board" relies on cookies to remember you. Does your PC's settings not allow cookies to be saved? (Sometimes, virus writers hide their handywork in cookies, so your new PC may have come with a default setting of cookies OFF.) Your "read" messages problem may be due to the same thing.
