Sub cities. thermal transfer centers, atmosphere exchangers, fluid converters, domed cities, colonial training centers and a decent CB bonus. if your lifeform has a good colonization bonus then it can probably get to ideal on nearly any world if they develop the proper colonization installations. Those with a very large amount of SRP's devoted to colonization attributes will probably be able to colonize many worlds with minimal installations.
