PhaseDragon Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 I was wondering if anyone knew if the pulse engines are included in the fighters when you give them to an ally or do they suddenly become equipped with whatever level of pulse engines the receiving empire has? Quote
Laserwolf Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 I was wondering if anyone knew if the pulse engines are included in the fighters when you give them to an ally or do they suddenly become equipped with whatever level of pulse engines the receiving empire has? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Pulse engines are an empire specific tech. If they dont have it, they dont get it. Quote
hobknob Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 They work just like ground tech in that regard. Quote
MadMartinB Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 your guys cant figure out the red boost button. Quote
WKE235 Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 your guys cant figure out the red boost button. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ahhh... the strange things we have to put up with, all for game balance. Please note that something strange works in reverse. If you build drones and fighters, and trade them to a player who has developed pulse engines, *POOF* they all work better for the new owner. So MMB, it's even worse than you think. They know how to build and install the big red boost button, but, can't figure out how to use it. Quote
Lord Xaar Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 It's sort of like when the U.S. sells fighter aircraft to allies, but does not inclulde all the 'gee whiz' items. Surely, no one here is proposing that individual fighters are tracked in the database? Quote
Damiano Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 And Vice-Versa when BAE sells Harriers to the USMC they strip them and rebuild them to include their own whizz-bangs. So Ed, when the PA start using High end fighters against us we know who provided the FMD's? Quote
