hobknob
Now that we have been going at this for almost a year we should all have a bunch of legendary characters and those characters have been getting promotions on a faily regular basis. Here is a list of the more junior ranks. Hopefully, there are a lot more ranks out there than there were the last time we tried to get a complete list. Administrator Administrator Junior Administrator Senior Administrator Minister Commissioner Merchant Broker Financier Trader Speculator Senior Trader Diplomat Envoy Diplomat Junior Ambassador Ambassador special Agent Detective Investigator Junior Agent Senior Agent Field Agent Explorer Scout Adventurer Voyager Pioneer Explorer Ranger Army Officer Senior Colonel Brigadier General Field general General Martial Artist Private Corporal Sergeant Lieutenant captain Major Naval Officer Senior Captain Commodore Rear Admiral Vice Admiral Admiral Religious Leader Acolyte Missionary Priest Archpriest Scientist Scholar Professor Technologist Academician Senior Scientist

Aquilonia
Interesting ranks and character types. By this chance I would like to develop subject to duties of characters: Unfortunately, still we don't know how to give them orders ... Waiting for patiently. Maybe RTG think, even we know those secrets, we didn't get in touch to other intelligent races, to send spies, diplomats, religious leaders etc. so they are not in hurry. I also wonder why to make two different type of characters Diplomat and Administrator. Currently they are effective to increase production only. We know we should keep - Administrators and diplomats in colonies to increase production, - Scientists & Explorers in fleets to survey warps and find archeological things (some say keeping scientists at homeworld speeds up tech.research, but I dont think it is not negligable.) - Naval officers in fleets - Army officiers in armies. I also wonder what Martial Artists and Merchants will add to game.. Though I don't have and not interested in Martial Artists, I have a high level Merchant. Many questions and wonders , however space is big and answers should be out somewhere...

President Guztov
Anyone else notice that there seem to be 6 ranks for all the leader types? Has anyones leader in any category reached level 7?
WKE235
Broker Lvl 6 = Master Trader Lvl 7 = Merchant Prince (and man does this guy boost production when he randomly steps in) Scientist Lvl 6 = Master Scientist Lvl 7 = Chief Scientist
DWillard
Aquillonia, Diplomats also give you bonuses when dealing with neutrals. I havn't looked at this in a while but last time I did, it looked like Merchants and Religius Leaders gave higher production bonuses than other leaders of equal rank. ShadowKitsune
Level 7 Special Agent is Director. WRT Aquilonia's comments - As far as I can tell, the differences between Production enhancing Character types is as follows - Administrators - Affected by certain known installations (e.g. Imperial Administration Center) [~3%/Level] Merchants - Unaffected by current known installations [~3%/Level] Religious Leaders - Affected by certain known installations (e.g. Cathedral) [~3%/Level + Morale Bonus] Diplomats - Unaffected by current known installations [~3%/Level + Bonus to NPC (DIP) Orders] While Merchants seem to be the tail-end-Charlies of the group, I have noticed that they appear to boost production more often than the other three Character types. Perhaps greater frequency is their special ability. However, my data pool is too small (statistically) to draw any solid conclusions.
