Lostworlds
I have recieved no answers back on my e-mail for help. I cannot use the updated files sent by RTG. Thr help file from the other player does not help. I would like some help. I do not want next turn ran until Pete or Russ get the problem fixed for all players. Please help. RTGPete
If the problem is related to the Richtxt32.ocx issue, the posted fix should correct the problem. I'll compile a complete install package so that you can simply install the new entry program from scratch - will post it here when complete. Lostworlds
Pete and Russ, I found that the posted fix does not fix the Richtxt32.ocx issue. Thankyou for your quick response. Lostworlds
ShadowKitsune
Before we go much further, what Operating System are you using?
Tokmok
Hello Try to look in Rolling Thunder Forums -> Tech Support -> SuperNova: Rise of the Empire Under the entry "New Turn Entry Program" Galvorn has a suggestion """ I also recieved a richtx32.ocx error (said I may need a newer version). In my case that was the case and I downloaded a new one: http://zimacs.zetnet.co.uk/problems/textdisplay.html seems to work fine now.... """ Galvorn """ Personally I first downloaded the file from RTGPete and installed it in the snrote directory It didn´t work until I as a Windows 98 user also downloaded the richtx32.ocx file and copied the file to the c:\windows\system directory. I hope this helps Tokmok
Lostworlds
Thanks for the help Tomok. It worked after I turned off my read only function. Lostworlds
EternusIV
Awesome link Tokmok! I think its just a version thang. I'm no computer wiz but sounds like a more updated version of Richtxt32.ocx could be added to SNROTE.exe as a matter of course?
ShadowKitsune
Yes, it could be added to a full install version of the Turn Entry Program with all of the necessary files and registries. However, if you are just copying over the executable and database files, you'll need to get all of the necessary OCX files elsewhere and then register them.
