Missiles and Torpedoes

I was re-reading the tech descriptions I have in my spreadsheet and something caught my eye. I was reading the descriptions of Mk I Standard Missiles and Mk I Short Range Torpedoes. They sound like launchers but only weigh in at 200 tons and 400 tons respectively. If we put a few of each on a ship, do we have to worry about replenishing the missiles and torpedoes in the magazines (like fighters and drones) or do they "auto-replenish" like the 10cm gauss guns?

Missiles and Torpedoes do "auto-replenish" like the 10cm Gauss Guns. Torpedo are heavy and do more damage, but they are more likely to get "shot-down" by CIDS systems.

In the discriptions of the cids i see no torpedos as targets. Are you sure cids can hurt them?

Mk I Standard Missile description says:

Missile Strength: Poor

which implies it acts like a missile.

4cm Gatling CIDS description says:

Counters: Missiles, Fighters, Drones

which implies (but does not confirm) it will counter any weapon with a "missile" strength.

But who knows for certain, even if you tried them in a real battle there would be no information feedback to confirm they do or do not do what you expect.
