Pandaemonium
"This is a shell of gas and solar particles thrown outward from a sun. It can be dangerous for ships that are not protected against certain types of particle emissions." Does anyone know whether Force Shields would be sufficient, or whether another, more specialized, defensive system is needed for secure travel? General Miles Avatar
You can actualy materialize inside one of these bad boys and it will do some damage but not enough to destroy your ship. Ive seen ships jump into systems with the entry point inside the the shell. The ship made it. Ive also had ships enter heat zones and had thier hulls partially turned to slag but quick damage control and movement to a cooler area save the ship from any damage. Seems these zones are just 'flavor' and dont really mean a whole lot juest yet.
hobknob
Some folks have had fleets completely destroyed by these flavor events. While it is rather rare you should not discount the possibility that something will happen.
Mu-Rho-Mu
I haven't lost any fleets yet but I have lost crew memberes to a Flare Zone and a Circumstellar shell. I'll see if I can find them to post.
