So I've been adding 'don't build anything at the moment that you can't afford to loose' to the formula of building ships. -All- Gosht Kohr ships are armed, if sometimes lightly. We shall not be declawed or -fanged. } Sha'thar wonders if medium- or long range sensors work for exploring world, or if it's just the short range sensors mentioned? PhaseDragon Posted October 24, 2003 Author Report Share Posted October 24, 2003 I thought about this also and decided to make 3 ship exploration fleets. One has the cargo space, one the Jump Sensors, and the 3rd has weapons and defenses. The Jump Sensor ship weighs a measly 7000 tons and always leads the way. If everything is fine then the other 2 ships warp behind that ship. In this way I am not losing any precious fuel or cargo space or weapon systems...just a jump sensor.
