Landmine
As promised, we have a new feature in Draco that appears to give a report of unknown accuracy showing colonization level, exploration level, and ground troop strength relative to the "galaxy" I presume. I have this line in my report: Furthermore, your sources indicate that your explorers have discovered a significantnumber of star systems. Any one care to comment what adjectives their empire might have gotten for their exploration efforts? What adjectives are you finding in your reports? I get "very strong" and "quite powerful" for some of my items but this early in the game I suspect a "very strong" fleet is just four armed pathfinders or something equally lame. Lord Deependra
I haven't seen that on any of my turns yet. Is this the first turn you have seen it?
Landmine
This was the notice from the Draco Introduction/rule Sheet; Rankings in various categories will appear from time to time, detailing where your empire stands, but not revealing to you where other empires rank I got my first "Ranking Report" this turn so given Lord Deependra did not get one then I must assume that they appear on a random basis. Categories appear to be things that you are exceptionally Strong or Weak in. IF you are just "average" then maybe there are reports you don't see. I for one got no idea of my research rankings so perhaps I am average. Are their adjectives like "pitifully weak" in other peoples reports? Perhaps that would be true for my research effort but I did not get a random report on that item or I am just average and generated no report for that item or there is no report for research at all. I feel no ranking this early in the game is very important or meaningful but I would like info to get calibrated.
General Miles Avatar
================================================================================================================ Intelligence operatives, interstellar merchants, spies, rumormongers and other sources report that your empire boasts one of the most extensive colonization efforts they have seen anywhere. Furthermore, your sources indicate that your explorers have discovered a significant number of star systems. This is the report I got. Might mean my colonization efforts are a bit above average. Lord Deependra
If you only get told when you are above average, that may explain it. Since I started later than everyone else, I would not expect tp be above average...yet.
hobknob
I would say that it is all about how many turns you have done. Many people who started in the first wave got them, from what I hear, but none that started later. It has been what, 10 turns now. It will be interesting to see if it is every 10 turns or each 10 turns for a position.
Landmine
We have a little bit of guidance so far in this thread but these questions remain: 1. Are there any reports with "negative" or "below average" status? For instance is any ones Colonization effort been labeled "laughable" or Naval Fleet been found "lacking" If you are afraid to answer this perhaps you could share the info with a close friend who could share it with someone and finally someone could post the info a "a rumor" heard from the friend of a friend. Are their any "negative" status reports? 2. Are their ranking reports for anything other than Colonization efforts, Star exploration, and Ground Force Strength? General Miles Avatar
I was close to the first wave but I missed it by a turn. I got out of the gate pretty quick with my colonization efforts though.
coling
I was in the first wave but have not seen a Ranking Report yet. Perhaps I should be hanging my head in shame!!
RTGPete
Hopping in here to note that the ratings don't carry a ton of weight right now since Draco is so young, but it will settle out as time passes and empires separate themselves from each other in the various ranking categories. I'll also add new categories so that more empires will have a chance to gain ranking results.
Lord Deependra
I said I would catch up :-) "Intelligence operatives, interstellar merchants, spies, rumormongers and other sources report that your empire's annihilation of DMX shipping is among the largest they have come across. Furthermore, your sources indicate that your explorers have discovered a significant number of star systems. Also, your sources indicate that your industrial base is quite strong." General Miles Avatar
Intelligence operatives, interstellar merchants, spies, rumormongers and other sources report that your empire boasts one of the most extensive colonization efforts they have seen anywhere. Your sources also indicate that your merchant marine is quite strong. Same as before for me except I haven't explored much now and my Merchant Marine had become strong
General Miles Avatar
I got the exact same report this turn with one small exception. In place of the word boasts the word now reads commands
General Miles Avatar
Correction. Not only was the word boasts replaced with commands but the words 'one of' were removed as well.
Lord Deependra
I got the same as last time, except I lost "Also, your sources indicate that your industrial base is quite strong."
