Anyone have ANZs for *any* of these techs?

Most of them are nothing.  They seem to be place holders for tech that never made it into the game or it is that alien tech that could be found once upon a time. Some of them are very similar in name to other tech and I would suspect that they are errors in the database.  They probably show up on your list because you had an exploration hit on them.  The same errors int he data file also let you get research via explore orders on something that does not exist.

However, there might be one or two that are real or that have an ANZ that somebody has gotten.  Many of them are related to energy sapper creature knowledge and the tech, an entire tech line, that is undiscovered except for a few of the lower levels.  These are probably in the game and complete but nobody, to my knowledge, has ever gotten energy creature knowledge to open them up.

I guess that means that the ESAP beams are part of ESAP’s Fables….

I hope that Russ and Pete are ok what with the fire scourge in your area!

Sure...at this point Pete has several new techs , but they are all ground techs.....

 

This is COMECH...

COMECH units are Tckon Imperial Assault Tanks increased dramatically in size and given rough terrain mobility improvements. They are much slower than their Assault Tank counterparts, making them inferior over open terrain, but they enjoy far thicker armor protection and provide heavy armor capability in broken terrain where Tckon Imperial Assault Tanks are less than ideal. A combination of the two systems is perfectly suited for fluid engagement scenarios.

From the Scinet list earlier I believe there is also some tech that is alien tech.  There was a brief period, maybe even just a few turns, where alien tech was discoverable doing EXPL orders.  If I recall the Transdimensional Shifter was a version of the a TWD and there were a couple of other things, including a weapon that ignored shields.  It was  along time ago and memory is not what it is, but there you have it.

an Intruder, but they are capable of delivering a variety of munition types, from simple high explosives to chemical, nuclear and even advanced orbital bombardment warhead types.

Slower even than an Intruder one might think they are easier to defend against, but advanced terrain-following guidance systems make them extremely difficult to detect until it is too late.

That sounds like a duplicate entry from the Dawn of Time <insert 2001 A Space Odyssey music here>.  Technically they are separate items, so if you end up researching both of them, you would gain the benefits of both even if they are otherwise identical in stats.  Just one of those rare oddities in the item table (I see you, Lumber/Timber).
